This recognition is the result of electromobility projects, the expansion of Shell Recharge charging stations and our commitment to ESG. All energy used in our Shell Recharge quick charging stations is 100% clean and renewable.

The Brazilian Stock Exchange’s Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2 - B3) was created to serve as an instrument to foster discussions on climate change in Brazil. The inclusion of companies in the ICO2 recognizes their commitment to transparency regarding their emissions and reflects how well they are preparing for a low-carbon economy.

Our project “Raízen expands its renewable solutions and invests in the sustainable production of biogas” was one of the winners of the 2021-2022 ECO Award, presented by the American Chamber of Business (AMCHAM) in recognition of sustainable trends related to ESG practices.

This is the process where we listen to our stakeholders and analyze documents (both internal and external) to identify the most relevant Sustainability topics for Raízen. At this stage, we engage an external consultancy firm to dive deep into documents, reports, studies and strategies apposite to our sector. In accordance with the double materiality concept, we accordingly identify both the impacts of our business on the economy, society and the environment and the impacts of externalities on our results and performance.
